Default ZDesktop data directory is 10GB in size!

My boss has installed ZDesktop on his Mac and set it up to sync with his gmail account (mail and calendar). Everything is working reasonably well, but he noticed that the zdesktop application data directory on his Mac is taking up 10GB of space. He only has about 1.2GB of email on his gmail account, and 10GB seems to be excessive. Two directories make up the bulk of this--log and store.

In my own case, I have something like 700MB on my gmail account, and my zdesktop data directory (I'm using a PC) is only 1.3GB in size.

Would the fact that his own space is 10GB indicate a problem? Are there files he can safely remove from log and store?

What are the sizes for the log and store directories?

Log files under <installation directory>/log that have time stamp in the names can be deleted. Example: zdesktop.log.2009-01-23.

The two directories are 6GB and 4GB. I don't recall which was what size right now though, but they took up 99% of the space in installation directory.

I'll remove the dated log files; there were definitely a number of those.

I just put back a fix: Bug 35385 – cap the number of logs

It will be in RC2. With this change the total log size will be capped at 40MB.

I've cleaned up the dated log files. Can anything be deleted in the "store" directory?
