Default SSL problems

When access my gmail or yahoo account says ssl port problems please check. Though in account set up the options are not there to change?

for gmail and yahoo, the settings regarding which server and what port to go to is predefined. you may have general network issue if both are failing. can you try telnet to imap.gmail.com on port 993 to see if that's reachable?
