Opening emails when Offline

Hi,
I have synchronized all my folders from Yahoo using Zimbra Desktop, however once I am disconnected from the internet, non of my synchronized emails can be opened, replied to etc... even though I can see them in the current directory.
I get the "Cannot connect to the server".

usually that means your backend server is not running. could you check the log file zdesktop.log under <install>/log for errors at the end?

thanks for the quick reply. The "zdesktop.log" is about 35Mb, however here are some lines from the bottom of the file:

I am on windows vista 32 bit (vista home premium). and using the latest version of Zimbra Desktop.

could you check to see if the zdesktop.exe process is still running? if it is, can you connect to it using a browser pointing to localhost:7633

I am sorry but I don't know how to do that? do I just go into the Zimbra Desktop Options? because that is the only place I can think of.

I have the same problem and i have seen, that if you are going offline, you have to restart the client to use it offline. Then it works.

I test the Zimbra Client in combination with 3G modems and VPN-Connections and for our needs this is a big problem.
