Unhappy configure zdesktop for up/download mail

hello, i am newbie to zimbra
I am using RHEL5,
I had installed zimbra (zcs open source product) and zdesktop. I want to configure my
system so that any intranet user can send/receive mail via zimbra server.
will I be able to do with free yahoo id. or I have to use paid service.
and how can I configure.. or from where I can get proper idea.

Not really sure what you are asking ? Do you have your own domain name, or do you wish to use a free account ?

You can use zdesktop with either ZCS or Yahoo Mail, or both, but those two services are independent so you don't need a yahoo id to use zdesktop with ZCS.

Question detail explanation

My linux system is connected with a private network having linux and microsft
system in that network.
and whole private network is connected with internet throgh one proxy server, that proxy server is other than my linux system.

and I have one mail Id say "mkkataria_ec@yahoo.com" which is free Id
as one normally we are using.Can I download my mail from that id to my local pc with zdesktop.

I want to configure my linux system so that it can act as a mail server for
my private network. any user can send or receive mail via server.

simply I can say as exchange server and outlook express is working in microsoft.
