Default Only Displays 100 Messages

Hello

I need to be able to display more than 100 messages inside of Zimbra desktop. I've found that you can change the number of messages that are visable inside of Zimbra desktop by going to [Preferences -> mail -> Display].

The highest number is 100. I want my clients to be able to view everything inside of their inbox.

I've checked quota's, and I don't have any set, so I know I'm not dropping old messages...

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

That's a UI limit. It's not specific to desktop, but a general zimbra UI behavior by design.

Only by using an IMAP client instead of the web client or Zimbra Desktop.

You can view all the mail in the inbox, you page through the items in your mailbox using the fwd/back buttons on the top right of the UI.

You might want to wean your users away from scrolling through folders, try getting them to use the Search function. It's very powerful for finding what you want and you can save the searches that you use regularly.

That is one of those really good suggestions that should be odvious, but you just don't think of.

I really like your angle on that.

This is the first site I've ever used Zimbra on. I mean the back end is just like everything I've always done; postfix, httpd, clamAV... I just view it as being in a /var that is just named /opt/zimbra .

But when it comes to the client. I haven't touched it. I've only just started to read through the Zimbra desktop manual.

I tell you what though. I am RIDICULOUSLY happy with it. I've received very few complaints.

No joke I get more complaints from customers switching from outlook 2003 to 07. Then I have gotten from this site using Zimbra FOR THE FIRST TIME!

You really did your homeowork.

BTW I love that the client is java, if I wanted to make changes to the code I ACTUALLY CAN!

anyway, I'll stop this rant, but thanks again for the help.
