Calendar Sharing Question

Hi,

I have my normal Zimbra server where I get my email and keep my calendar. I'm doing some work for a client, and ended up needing to use their email server (plain imap/smtp).

With ZD, I can set up a calendar using the plain imap account. What I'd like to know is, is there a way I can see the calendar from my Zimbra account (shared) with the calendar I have for the plain IMAP one? I keep having to switch between the two, and it's a pain.

I tried sharing my zimbra calendar, but it doesn't seem to work.

Maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

How about if I rephrase this.

If I add a new calendar to Zimbra desktop, in an account that uses standard IMAP, I get a failed to connect.

I go to the account calendar (which I assume is local), right click on calendar to add a new one. I tell it to sync with a remote calendar with the following link style:

https://zimbra.domain.com/service/ho...lendar?fmt=ics

I also tried:

https://user2@otherdomain.com:passwo...lendar?fmt=ics

No luck. Any ideas?

Unfortunately this is not supported. However it may be in a future release.

I notice that bug 19182 is now closed. Bug 19182 – Support sync'ing shared folders (mail, contacts, calendar...) in zimbra desktop

Does this mean that sharing of calendars/contacts might be released for Zimbra Desktop soon?

I have users who may have to purchase Outlook if this feature is likely to take longer than January 2009.
