Unread Messages

Hi all,

Is it possible to sort by message status ? ?? as in sorting by read and unread messages ?

you could just search for everything unread. for example, you could say "in:inbox is:unread".

that doesnt work..

its a folder called storage@wow.net ..

so i have tried " "in:storage@wow.net is:unread" " and it doesnt bring up the unread emails.. it comes up empty.

I agree with the original poster that sorting by read/unread status is a desirable feature. I assume this would fall under Bug 1108 - Sorting should be available on ALL columns since the Status field shows read/unread.

It works for me in Zimbra Desktop and the ZCS Web UI.

I agree, typing a bunch of stuff or saving tons of search folders is cumbersome to achieve a functionality that is present in pretty much every other e-mail client and web mail client around.

Although to function as desired you would probably need to create a new status column dedicated to read/unread.

Perhaps hide this by default.

Then those that want can show the read/unread column and easily sort their e-mails as desired!

This is pretty much the only thing preventing me from setting up Zimbra for several of my customers.
