Hi!
I'm trying to "Archive" the messages I get on GMail, but the only option I have is to delete it. The message goes directly to the trash.
Is there a way to archive the message instead of deleting it?
Thanks.

When you archive a message using GMail it gets removed from INBOX but still remains in the "All Mail" folder. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to view the GMail "All Mail" folder from Zimbra Desktop.
However, the equivalent way to do this within Zimbra Desktop (and IMAP in general) would be to create a new local folder for archived messages and move them to there. If you enable synchronization for this folder then these messages will also get backed up to an identical folder on the GMail server. Otherwise, the messages will just get archived locally.
Let me know if this answers your question.

Hi David. Thanks for the reply.
Sorry taking so long for answering your message, but I was testing your solution.
I tried creating a new mailbox and moving the messages to it. You were right: it worked! But is not what I'm looking for. :-(
I loved everything on Zimbra. Congratulation to all zimbra developers!
I'm starting to think that the problems I'm having are not related to the client, but to the service (GMail).
Thanks again for your time. You all are great.
Be sure I will promote this excellent e-mail client.
Hi, I just discovered this issue myself and wondering if there is any progress on being able to archive instead of just deleting them.
Brackman,
Fortunatly the "All Mail" archive problem is not a Gmail problem.
Proof: Thunderbird E-mail client handles the All Mail folder fine.
Also, this bug is known at Zimbra:
Bug 31767 – There is no way to download "All Mail" in GMail account
Vote for it and maybe it will be solved in the next Zimbra release.
Regards,
Luke
Voted - but besides just downloading ALL, "delete" should send to all as well.
