Default Spellcheck only works in new window and offers no suggestions

In a composing window, spellcheck always underlines misspelled words, but in the main app, only offers the standard right click menu. In a new window, it gives spelling options ("add to dictionary"), but offers no suggestions. This is on OS X 10.5 with the latest Zimbra Yahoo Desktop

You're talking about the browser/prism's red underline right?

Yes, but if I go to the local port using Firefox it works fine. So is this an issue with Prism? If so, are there any issues with using Firefox? Will mailto links still work? Maybe with toaster? Does the local webserver always start or do you need to start the application and then use Firefox? Thanks.

So, what's really interesting about this is, if I download Prism by itself and use it to run Zimbra, spellcheck works fine. If I copy the prism executable into the mac package, it still doesn't work. If it works in Prism, why doesn't it work in Zimbra?

So we actually use a prism build that is newer than the version available to download. Also we have quite a bit of customization with prism. Maybe somehow we broke it. Will investigate.

Having the same issue in our office. It's frustrating that Spellcheck works nicely in Firefox 3.0.1 but not in Zimbra Desktop Beta 3.

Prism spellcheck has been fixed in the just released build 1278, so that it will now suggest words (it previously just underlined): Bug 30610 - Spellcheck suggests don't work in email editor

Aspell/or other solution (for all browsers) is another RFE: Bug 23112 - support spell check
