Zdesktop ports

Hi guys, i got a question does zdesktop need ports opened for they normal operation? because i got two users, one on a proxy restircted configuration, and other with a free rule configuration for internet, they one who is restricted, does not have access to zdesktop is there an error that says cannot conecto to smtp port, any idea??

Are you using Zimbra Desktop to connect to a Zimbra server? If so, all you should need is HTTPS (443). If you're using another type of server, you'll need to have the standard IMAP/POP/SMTP ports opened up in the firewall just like any other mail client.

well is a zimbra server, and i'm not using secure connection, actually the server has all rights for the zimbra ports, but the machines are kind of limited in permissions

if the server is zimbra, they don't need smtp port. zimbra only uses http. make sure the user picked the right account type to setup.
