Hi,
Personally, I would prefer a Zimbra Desktop client with focus on it's main function.
I think it's a better approach to focus on the software's true mission, without bloating it with functions that could be well provided by some partners.
For example: my pendrive has a 3Gb TrueCrypt volume where I keep all those information-sensitive portable apps like FTP Clients with some saved passwords, my personal documents, my Thunderbird Portable with off-line/downloaded messages and so on.
If I needed to rely on individual security methods provided by every software, I would have to remember many different passwords, or trust that all those different security methods are good enough to protect the same shared password. This way, for my security and encryption needs I prefer to trust in TrueCrypt and/or GnuPG, and not the native security functions that are secondary functions on the many softwares I use.
Regards,
Renato.
