Default Zimbra Toaster on Mac Notifications Broken

I've installed Zimbra Toaster on Mac and was happy seeing nice notifications. Then I upgraded Growl to 1.1.4 and now my notifications are broken -- a slim window shows up only when I click "View Recent Messages," with no text in it.
Is it a Toaster problem, a Zimbra server problem (01.com is updating?), or a Growl one?

Default Zimbra Desktop preempts Zimbra Toaster!

OK, some playing shows that without Zimbra Desktop, my pop ups are fine. Zimbra Desktop eats the new message bodies (scary!) leaving empty shells for the Toaster to show. Yet Zimbra Desktop by itself does not do notification in OS, -- hence the need for the Toaster. I wonder how can I schedule both together so the Desktop does not preempt the Toaster?
