How stable is ZCS?

We are contemplating deploying the latest ZCS network edition, however i am abit nervous going this way after reading some articles with user issues/bugs etc..

From what we have seen so far ZCS ticks all our boxes, however I do not want to forge ahead and deploy this (seemingly good) platform and be inundated with support issues (x does not work, y isn't doing what we want it to).

What is the consensus amongst the more seasoned administrators as to how solid this platform really is? which version is going to give us usability and stability ?

We also want to use the outlook connector and proably the zDesktop. With a view to supporting mobile devices using imap.
