Zimbra Desktop chat Issue

Hi everyone,

We are currently migrating users to Zimbra. The webmail chat works fine, but I can't get to chat using the Desktop.
Can anyone please help resolve this issue?

They just haven't been included yet

The current downloadable version has mail, addressbooks, & calendar.

For IM you can use an external XMPP client like Pidgen, Spark, Adium, etc.

From your duplicate thread I see your also asking about the GAL:

Zimbra desktop chat doesn't work. Then I cannot get addresses from GAL.

Yes, it does but the IM server is being removed from Zimbra after the current ZCS 7.x versions. Search the forums for details and read the RFEs in bugzilla for details of what may follow.
