New Messages no appearing in Inbox

I am testing out the Desktop before our users get ahold of it and start asking questions. Here is what I am seeing...

When I receive a new message, the 'inbox' shows a new message (1) but it is never loaded to the inbox or displayed. In order to retrieve the message and see it I have to manually hit the 'Get Mail' button. is this normal?

probably a bug that has been fixed so wait for the next cut to verify. thanks!
