I've been having this problem for some while - in the first Beta and in the present Beta release. I'd reported it to our IT department but apparently they have not passed it on to you!
To give you more detail here is the email to our IT support department:

Subject: Re: [rt.fhi.net #5555] Printing Problem in Zimbra Desktop

Hi ,

It seems to be a problem with emails sent as plain text but not with html emails. For example your email below prints as attached. Printing works OK with html emails. An email I sent to myself with the "compose" preferences set to text won't print properly. Even the copy in my "sent" box prints wrongly. I haven't been able to figure out if it is emails in all plain text encodings or only those encoded in utf-8.

I've attached a copy of the original email I referred to you as a text file. I obtained this by using the right-click "show original" feature. I'll also forward it to you directly.

Thanks,

John

Any hint as to when the next release might be? I'm holding off rolling out of Desktop to all my staff until we get this resolved.
Thanks,
J.

I am having the same issue and we are running 4.6.
I upgraded to Firefox 3.0 rc1 recently and I wondered if that was the issue.
I don't have the problem when I use IE7
Thanks,
Vance

Hello Everyone

I have seen this same problem printing from Firefox 3 final with Zimbra desktop 5.06

It seems to be the plain text messages for sure that mess up.

Default Has this been resolved in the latest release

I noticed that an updated release was supposed to fix this. I have Desktop 2 Beta Version Build 1119. I also have Firefox 3 installed but I don't have the issue if I access localhost via Firefox.

I'm also experiencing this problem printing plain text e-mails in Firefox 3 from the AJAX client. If I use IE7 though the problem doesn't occur.

I can't reproduce myself, but since multiple people see this it's probably a bug. Please file a bug under "Mail -WecClient". This is not a desktop specific issue. Thanks!

I've taken the liberty of reporting it under Bug 30358 – Printing garbled when printing plain text e-mail from Web Client/Zimbra Desktop
