It is not just use an other editor, as there is also problems with paste in Zimbra, which in some case highlight everything and delete everything other than the pasted text.
email was ment to be easier and more difficult, where after you write a long mail, you need to fugure out how to spellcheck it and then how to paste it, of cause you can paste the whole mail, but not in small paragraphs. But again it is a Beta I think

I'm using the same version. No spell checker. But I never had a spell checker, even in previous versions. The only time I have a spell checker is when I use the web client.

Very rarely, does it do those red underlines. It only picks up on about 10-25% of the misspellings. The only way to seriously spell check is to use Word's spell checker, and it's REALLY REALLY lame, wastes time, and adds up to a lot of total wasted time, per day, if someone uses Desktop, like us, on a regular basis.

Guys, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE fix this, and add a real-spell-checker to the product. It's almost 2010. Its not a super advanced feature that we're asking for...

Thanks.

This is on Windows? Can you post a screenshot showing the dynamic spell checker is not picking up mispellings? Thanks.

Have you taken a look at Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop Download and Install FAQ - Zimbra :: Wiki? The steps to install alternative dictionaries are outlined there.
