Post Downloading message headers only?

Is there a way that I can tell ZImbra to download message headers only (from POP/IMAP server) instead of downloading the complete message body?

Not really. Zimbra Desktop's primary focus is "offline" access to all of your emails and the ability to search all your data when "offline". In a future release we will add the capability to download only recent items, but that feature is not in the planned 1.0 release. Thanks!

unfortunatly i didn't came across this "download only recent items" or "download headers only feature" in the 1.0.4 release...
is something planned for the next release? because i'm really looking for an outlook alternative and the rest of features looks great.

That's because it's not in the 1.x version of ZD. The place to check for feature requests (RFEs) or ffile them is bugzilla (you can also vote on the for added weight), when you've done that you can check which version of the product a feature is targeted for by looking at the Product Portal.
