Question If Zimbra Desktop POP account can download mail folders from Zimbra Server?

I am having problems with Zimbra Desktop. When I configure a pop account it does not download mail folders from Zimbra Server and download all mails in INBOX also sent items are also not downloaded into sent items. I am migrated from outlook to zimbra and have different mail folders if there is any way to download all my folders to Zimbra Desktop Client.

Another issue is how to retain mails in my client when configured for Zimbra account which connects server on port 80. In this case when I delete mail from server it is also deleted from Zimbra Client, if there is any other way so that I can retain my mails in desktop client even when mails are deleted from server. I need to delete mails to maintain my qouta space on the server.

Kindly help me in this regard.

Well, that's what POP does.

If your server is a Zimbra Server then you shouldn't really be using POP or IMAP. You should setup a Zimbra Sync (first type).

This feature is planned for a future release. We will add support for "local folders" and allow users to copy emails from server folders to "local folders".

Smile Zimbra Desktop - "local folders"

This feature is planned for a future release. We will add support for "local folders" and allow users to copy emails from server folders to "local folders".

Is this implemented in the latest Zimbra Desktop?
