Default problem with 0.78 on Mac

I ran the installer of 0.78 on my Mac (which has no previous installation of zimbra desktop). At the end of the installation process I fill out the form for my zimbra account. When I press 'Save Settings' for the first time it shows:

system failure: java.lang.NullPointerException

The second time and any next time I press 'Save Settings' it shows:

email address already exists: 86e41f67-8d7f-49e3-a0b1-ce3a663a8cc7

Then I press 'Cancel' and it seems that the account is present, but with status 'error'

In ~zimbra/zimbra/zdesktop/log/mailbox.log I can see that zimbra desktop is retrieving stuff (calendar items right now).

Any idea what is going wrong?

Remote Zimbra Server Version: 5.0.2_GA_1975.UBUNTU6 20080130232321 20080130-2324 NETWORK

Macbook Pro Mac OS X 10.5.1

Please check log files under <install>/log folder to find the full error messages. Thanks!

See below. It appears that in the end zdesktop has synchronized everything, so there is not a real problem, but the interface indicates that something is wrong. That is somewhat confusing.

Though it seems to work, I see the following in the mailbox.log all the time:

The latest stack you posted is related to sync of your zimbra mailbox that happens to have a pop or imap aggregation source setup. Somehow that doesn't have a password.

However that particular NullPointerException shouldn't really show up in your GUI. So there may be another NullPointerException.

In your first log posting you have this:

2008-02-06 10:45:36,858 WARN [btpool0-10] [name=zimbra;ip=127.0.0.1;] SoapEngine - handler exception
java.lang.NullPointerException

Are there more lines after the NullPointerException? I need the stack to see what's wrong. Thanks!
