Mail Filters work.... sometimes

I added a filter to a brand new account that selected if an email was from a specific email address to place it in a different folder. Immediately thereafter an email came in and did not go in. Later another email came in and did go to the new folder. The item that did go to the new folder also remained in the Inbox. Is this a bug? Has anybody had expereience with Mail Filters? HELP!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forums.

Without details of what the filter is, what the headers are for a successful and failed email that's been filtered it's impossible to tell you anything. It's most unlikely that the filters are working incorrectly (not impossible just unlikely) on a simple header check. Which version/release of Zimbra are you using?

You can display the filters by doing a 'zmprov ga user@domain.com' (as the zimbra user) and looking for 'Sieve' in the output, you see the filters there - post them and some details of the headers for someone to look at them.

Desktop doesn't yet support filters. All filters should be created on the remote server. Did you create the filter using desktop or directly using the "online" UI? Thanks!

is this bug resolved.
My Zimbra Desktop is version 1.0 buid 1482.
I've made a filter only on the mail sender and want to put this mail in a specific folder (see attached jpg)

It works for me, where does the email end up? Right click on it and then 'Show Original' and post the output in this thread.

Hi what do I have to do to get the mail filters to work on zimbra desktop version 1593 ?

I have created a folder, then I go to filters and setup filter, and then nothing goes in the folder either with incoming or outgoing

The filters do work, how about posting details of the exact filter you're using and an example (headers) of an email that doesn't get filtered?
