Default Huge memory use by service

Hi,

I installed Zimbra Desktop with all the options (Toaster and service) but did not connect to a server (see my previous post for the reason).
So the desktop application is not running (at least not visible) but I have zdesktop.exe using 74MB RAM in the task manager...
That seems to be a lot for something that is not working yet.
What is the memory usage when it's in full use (handling big messages wit big attachments and multiple filled calendars)?

Thanks,

-Marc

Right now zdesktop shares 99% of the ZCS code. While we will continue share architecture between zdesktop and ZCS going forward, there will be optimization to reduce zdesktop's package size as well as its runtime memory footprint. Current approach is to be feature complete first being making optimizations. Thanks for your feedback!

Question

Hmmm....a Zimbra memory problem from 2007?

Has the zdesktop.exe memory muncher ever been solved?

If so, due tell, cause it's still happening to my computer.

I have an idea of how to solve it on my end, but was just curious if it had been solved on your end....yet

Cheers ~Rox
