Default List of recently used addresses

With Outlook/Exchange, a file is stored on a users local machine with an extension of NK2. It holds recently used addresses so that when you start typing in an address in the "To:" line, recently used addresses appear in a list.

Is there an equivalent for this in Zimbra? I've got a few people, that instead of adding an address to their address book, depend on that list. If, for some reason, I've got to reload their computer, the list is gone.

NK2 files!!!
The number of times I've forgotten to back those up when moving a user onto a new machine!

One thing that annoys me with the way GMail handles this, is that my legitimate contacts get polluted with every person I've ever emailed. In GMail there's no way to turn the auto-add off, even though I've requested it for 3 years.

Thunderbird handles it well IMO (like Zimbra does at the moment) by having a separate folder where every emailed contact is added.
Keeping your real contacts separate from all those unsubscribe@ etc.

I hope this bug request doesn't override the current behaviour, but merely adds the options for people to change it

That's all well and good if you use the webmail for everything. What about Outlook?

Showing you as Release 5.0.8_GA_2462.RHEL5_64_20080709155301 CentOS5_64 NETWORK edition, so this would apply if you have NE Pro & using ZCO:

Else (non-ZCO) I don't know how you would expect us to save server-side; you'd have to use any Outlook field remembering features.

Well, is there at least a way to clear out the list of recently used addresses? Ones that aren't saved as contacts?
