Default Forum mail server / reverse DNS

Are the forum mail servers reverse DNS working yet? I have been out of town but I haven't received any mail in ages from the forums?

Unfortunately not, we're breathing down some necks but we don't control em (two ISPs are arguing about ownership/peering of the IP address space).

In the meantime your UserCP should help to keep you up-to-date on threads you're subscribed to (by default any thread you've replied in).

I had a similar issue. Allegiance Cable is one of my ISP's. They bought the local system from Cox. Cox still has the Start of Authority for the IP block, however. It took about 10 days but Cox finally did the reverse DNS after much prodding by Allegiance. I have six static IP's and they did all of them for me. Cox, in my opinion, should really delegate authority for that block to Allegiance. But they didn't ask me. :-)

As far as your ISP's, it's pretty straight forward which one has the SOA. They, of course will have to be the one to do the DNS.

Thanks Mike.
