Just trying to see SOMETHING of a bright note, don't you think the Zimbra/Comcast deal would provide a bit of protection against dropping our beloved email system like a hot potato IF the deal goes through? I seriously doubt that Comcast would quietly take the loss considering their considerable investment.

oh right, silly me, I forgot that its friendly to standards... and agnostic to where it runs, and not a black box... amazingly extendable... over all a better mouse trap.

*sigh*

We run exchange here and I'm desperate to get rid of it but this whole MS/Yahoo thing has thrown a spanner in the works. Where are the comments from Zimbra, are they too busy emptying their desks!

Well, who knows. But after this news, I'll always stay skeptical about Zimbra's future. I had it in back of my mind, I TRULY dislike badgeware licenses, but I was persuaded that it doesn't matter.

Well, it matters. In six months there is a chance that I'll be selling soon-to-be discontinued MS product. If not in 6 months, than in year. Or two. Whatever, this badgeware licenses just don't protect you from this kind of buyout scenarios.

Guys-
We are a support forum, not a Rumor forum.

If you want to make a difference, keep using Zimbra.

If you're angry, or want to complain, please send them to jholder@zimbra.com

Not to be an a$$, but once again, we're a support forum. Let's keep the discussion on topic.

Not to mention that MS buying Yahoo is NOT a rumor, it is an official offer.
So, when the deal is closed, my support question, that I'll be asked from my customers too, is, who will support me and them in 2009? What is planned exit strategy?
