I am having the very same problem. I have ZD checking mail every 5 minutes and every time it does it sticks another error in error reports, so now there is a stack of them there. It is the same issue, just won't sync gmail contacts. Unbelievable how many people are having this issue and Zimbra has done very little to answer questions. Very disappointing

You do realise, don't you, that these forums are Community support forums not official Zimbra support? Everyone that posts here does so voluntarily and in their free time.

Have you searched through bugzilla and/or filed a bug report there? You may also want to consider that ZD is EOL and you may not get this issue resolved in the current implementation of ZD, there is a new offline client currently under development.

    Curious,

I am having the same error.
Is there an EOL notice somewhere?
Is the EOL going to be back dated?
I went to the download page and still see the GA release is still available.

    Thanks
    Chris

It has been mentioned in the forums as far back as April 2012 and it was also mentioned in the ZCS 7.2 Release Notes (IIRC).

I don't know what you mean by that.

Why wouldn't it be? It's still a working product and does it's job well for many people, being EOL doesn't mean it's stopped working it just means it's not being developed.

I like what zimbra has done over the years, so I am just saying it would be nice.

It would be nice to see a notice.
Working is fine, EOL tells me something about the GA release.
Regardless if its working or not, I think its polite to inform people of the intentions so that people can do proper IT planning.

Technically I would think an EOL date would come after the date when it has been decided to EOL a product. eg (6-12months after the notice)
So if it was decided to EOL ZD back in April there might have been a notice period before April giving people a heads up regarding the EOL date.

If there was a note regarding the new desktop that might be interesting.

I am just saying, its a polite gesture.

I had the same problem with ZD on windows 7 and posted a work-around in a different thread. Don't know if it has actually worked for anyone except me but here is the url of the other thread if you care to pursue it:

Gmail Contacts Not working on new installation, constant error reports
