Zimlet com_zimbra_email

We have a mix of XP sp3 vm's and win7-64bit desktops. Installed the beta as Pheonix suggested - on the win7-64 desktop - test system - the install failed to initialize. just removed and reinstalled the 7.0.1 GA release and now re syncing 4.2 GB of mail.
I made and ajustment to the VM environment which required that I reboot the XP vm's last night.
Checked that Zimbra Desktop came up. It was fine for 20 mins so I left the office.
Called at 7:30am 1 user could not use zimbra - problem as described.
An hour later another user had the same problem.
There are two users whose desktops were rebooted which do not have the problem.
The XP SP3 desktops (All VM's) are built from an image. They are precisely the same. Seems odd that this occurs "spontainiously" and is quite random.

The ONLY fix I can find is to force a rebuild. As my users have mail dating back 6 years some of them have 8 GB of mail. The rebuild takes 8 hours !

Please advise ASAP what the solution is.

Bug 62538 – Zimlet com_zimbra_email

If you force a rebuild it will start working again BUT this forces the download of all mail and it will destroy all tasks in the process.

You can try disabling the 'Email Contact Details' Zimlet in
preferences->Zimlets.

There may be script errors. You can see these by pressing shift-f6 then
clicking gear at bottom right and selecting tools->options.

Also, try running Zimbra Desktop in a separate web browser and enabling the
Zimbra Desktop debugging interface.

1) Go to set up page (Click on set-up link on top right corner)
2) Click on "Open in web browser" link (find it at the bottom of set-up
page)
3) add "&dev=1&scripterrors=1" to the url.
4) Reproduce the problem
5) You may see a popup with a JavaScript stack trace. If so, please send
it to us.
6) If no JS error popup appears, check the browser error console
(Tools->Error Console in Firefox)

I have to rebuild my test environment after trying the beta and hving it screw both my test zimbra desktop and my personal laptop ZD environment - so I can not test - any one able to test and then post results ?

This does not work as Jeff suggested.
The desktop switches back to the account setup so fast - no oppurtunity to disable the suggested zimlet.
Suggestions people ?
Perhaps an alternative method for turning it off other than the GUI ?

If you click "show detail", what do you see ? Maybe you can disable email related zimlets under "preferences" to avoid this...

disabling the zimlet doesn't make a difference...you still get the error msg.

And the error isn't just for the email zimlet...the error occurs for all zimlets, whcih ever is active...!
