Cool Couldn't access Zimbra Desktop server.

I am using Windows 7 Home Edition
I get the following error message.

Couldn't access Zimbra Desktop server. If issue persists after reinstall, please check logs for errors and report to Zimbra Desktop - Zimbra :: Forums.

I have tried reinstalling but still no luck. Anyone know the solution?

hi
same here

Version: zdesktop_2_0_b10580_win32
OS: Win7 Home Premium

only on one of our clients. (5 others properly working with same settings)

maybe i'm blind but i can't find no bugzilla entry for that.

what i did:
installed ZD on the admin account and started it on a second user account, for the first time.
re-installation doesn't fix the problem.
windows firewall off doesn't fix it.

lol, just read this:
http://www.zimbra.com/forums/error-r...op-server.html

will try this now

. I would normally not bother posting, but I have all my email in Zimbra on my old pc, and was hoping to import on Win 7; that's why this error is very irritating - am in a soup as since last 8 hours all I've done is reinstalling multiple times Zimbra. I saw a thread mentioning modifying the 'hosts' file with no mention of what to modify or how the hosts file should be after modification. All help appreciated.

When uninstalling zimbra, it leaves the following directory intact.
C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Zimbra

If this directory is not deleted manually then reinstall does not work.
Delete this directory first before reinstalling.
