Default Startup Screen Hangs, Unable to Use Zimbra Desktop

I've used Zimbra successfully for quite some time -- months, perhaps even a year. However I have had an issue starting it in the last couple days.

After a reboot, the initial flash screen, showing the road / plug / plane icons in rotation, never goes away. I let it run for quite some time -- hours -- but it never completed.

I decided to install the latest version, v1.0.4 downloaded just yesterday, to see if it helped the problem, but it did not. Unfortunately I don't have the version detail for what I originally had installed, although since the problem is consistent I don't think it's necessary.

I've attached the log files. This is running on Windows XP. Again it was running successfully before it just stopped working. I hadn't installed any new software or made any configuration changes.
Attached Files

File Type: out zdesktop.out (485 Bytes, 2 views)

can you open this url in your browser (firefox) ?

http://127.0.0.1:7633/desktop/login....b-195599b9877b

that's taken from the uri= value in your webapp.ini

Yes, that successfully opens a Zimbra tab within Firefox and replicates from the email server.

I have Symantec Antivirus running, no alerts have appeared.

Symantec has been running all along, including when Zimbra was running successfully. I looked at the Symantec scan logs just now and don't see anything where Zimbra was flagged.
