Symantec has been running all along, including when Zimbra was running successfully. I looked at the Symantec scan logs just now and don't see anything where Zimbra was flagged.
Also, I turned off Symantec just now and tried again, with same result.

what if you set trayicon=false in webapp.ini:

Yes! That allows the application to open.

Although now I don't get that nifty little tray icon that shows me when I have new mail.

although i can not reproduce the problem myself, we are aware that a few people got hit by this issue. (search for iTune 9 upgrade on this forum...)

i am sorry to say that this is the best workaround available. we are actively looking into fixing it.
