Hotmail - Sending reported error (0x800CCC33): "Access to the account was denied. Verify that your username and password are correct. The server responded 'forbidden'. - Windows Live Help

DAV Migration Complete - Windows Live Help

Hotmail has discontinued DAV protocol.

Your only option is to
A) use Windows Live Mail (should function just like DAV did)
B) configure POP3 access. But just like any pop you will not be able to access your emails from any location anymore. AND you can't leave messages on server.

Thank you for the DAV information.

Is there any chance of adding the new Hotmail protocol to Zimbra Desktop in future? I would love to see it coming.

From the research I've done, it has been known since May or so that Microsoft was going to discontinue DAV.
That being said, Yahoo/Zimbra did not come up with a solution ?

Is it safe to say that "Microsoft Has Slammed The Door Shut On Zimbra" ???

Or has development been halted on Zimbra ?

I have several clients that are going to "pull the plug" on Zimbra because of this...

Actually it has been even longer than that. They tried pulling the plug last year but postponed it on May 08.

The new protocol they use is called DeltaSync but from another topic I found here someone said it needs to be licensed and there is no opensource version.
