Default Desktop hanging on java futex_wait under Fedora linux

Hello,

I have zdesktop_1_0_build_1593_linux_i686.sh on a Fedora 11 (32 bit x86) linux system.

When I run Zimbra Desktop, the CPU load goes up and the disk starts being accessed noticeably. Looking at the processes, the CPU seems to be churning on a java process (sometimes up to 48%) on "futex_wait". I've had this problem before on Fedora 10 so the upgrade didn't help. As well, my sent emails & email moves seem to get "stuck" in the Outbox.

Any suggestions on what I can do to help locate the problem?

TIA.

Hello,

Without posting the entire log/zdesktop.log (for privacy I'd rather not post it openly) I do notice that it contains many, many lines like:
2009-06-29 13:54:11,554 DEBUG [Thread-22] [] offline - Offline GAL contact modified: dn=uid=XXXXXX,ou=people,dc=XXXXXX,dc=XX
2009-06-29 13:54:12,559 DEBUG [Thread-22] [] offline - Offline GAL contact modified: dn=uid=XXXXXX,ou=people,dc=XXXXXX,dc=XX
2009-06-29 13:54:13,027 DEBUG [Thread-22] [] offline - Offline GAL contact modified: dn=uid=XXXXXX,ou=people,dc=XXXXXX,dc=XX

That's expected - it was just syncing your Global Address List. Any logs around the time when zd seemed to hang?
