Default Sync error, rebuild in 24hr again

Related to

Bug 35701 – Unable to sync YahooPlus inbox

that I filed

I just installed the latest version of Zimbra desktop over the previous one. Running it gives me the same error as usual: your mailbox must be rebuilt. I got that error several times over the last few months, I have not been able to sync up my Inbox successfully for months. I keep updating the app with the new version with no success.

Here is the error message:

Your Yahoo! mailbox state on the remote server is inconsistent and will be rebuilt. The rebuilding process may take up to 24 hours.

Debug message: Yahoo! mailbox inconsistent and is being rebuilt

Exception:

Would you mind sending me your Yahoo ID? I will forward the information to the Yahoo mail team so they can investigate and possibly manually unblock your account.

It's fjanon. By the same token, searches don't work on my account. They don't return items I know are in my mailbox. Hopefully rebuilding it will fix both issues.

Thanks,

Fred

Default unable to SYNC, will be rebuilt in 24 hours

Try turning SYNC off on the Drafts, Spam, and Trash folders...then click "Send/Receive"

If it syncs correctly and you have a Yahoo green light, manually delete the items in those folders and then turn SYNC for those folders back on.

I did the above and my problem was corrected, but my error message involved the TRASH folder. Since yours involves the INBOX, try the above procedure with the INBOX folder.

Let me know if this solves your problem.

Thanks. It eventually rebuilt itself previously and I seem to receive this message every other day but it eventually "rebuilds". Frustrating. Hopefully the developers will take note and address the issue.
