Default [SOLVED] Unable to start Zimbra

For some reason I'm not able to start the latest version of Zimbra Desktop. Tried the following but that did not help.
- Restarting machine.
- Upgrading Mac OS to 10.5.6.
- Uninstalling Zimbra Desktop and reinstalling it.

Still getting:
"Couldn't access Yahoo! Zimbra Desktop server. If issue persists after reinstall, please check logs for errors and report to http://www.zimbra.com/forums/zimbra-desktop."

Latest error message is:
0 INFO [main] log - Logging to org.slf4j.impl.Log4jLoggerAdapter(org.mortbay.log) via org.mortbay.log.Slf4jLog
435 INFO [main] log - jetty-6.1.5

Solved the issue:

Found inspiration in pauljmartinez solution:
Unable to start Zimbra Desktop on OSX 10.5.5

In system Preference, under Sharing, I had a Computer Name. But had no name in for computers on my local network:

"Computers on your local network can access your computer at: .local."

Once I fixed that Zimbra started up normally.

Could you be more clear on what you had fixed to resolve this? I am thinking of doing more checking during installation, based on these solutions. Thanks!

My computer name was 'macbookpro' but my local host name was '.local'. For some reason when using the Migration Assistant while transferring all my old data to my new laptop that setting hadn't transferred.

So when I changed the Local Host name from '.local' to 'macbookpro.local' it worked.
