the only exception i saw is when you gave a wrong gmail password. after you corrected a minute later, it started syncing your gmail account, until you shut it down.

can you double click zdesktop icon and see what happens?

Situation looks like this:
1.Installation - Ok.
2.First running - OK.
3.Configuring account, dawnload messages from server - Ok.
4.Shutdown Zdesktop by "Exit"
5.Second start Zdesktop - NOT OK.
Double click on icon without any effect, only communicate about nohup.out when I start it from console..

Zimbra Desktop has two components: the backend service (zdesktop) and front end client (prism). I believe, based on your description, the backend service runs fine.

But somehow the desktop icon's properties has some problem so that it can not launch the front end client.

Which window manager you are using? Maybe you can try to tweak the icon that was created during installation?

Zimbra Desktop is better supported on distributions like RedHat and Ubuntu. Unfortunately there are so many different distributions of Linux out there, it's hard for us to test them all.

Let me know if you have more questions. Good luck.
