No german umlauts in Zimbra Desktop with Gmail

If i send words with Charakters like ä ü ö over Gmail in Zimbra Desktop the Recipient become just (? ? ?). Gives any Solution for this problem?

Was the message composed with Desktop or not? Can you attach the text file from right-clicking on the message and selecting "Show Original"?

Yes was composed with Zimbra Desktop.

I attached now 2 textfiles.

1. From ymail to gmail (with problems)
2. From ymail to regular mailserver (without problems)

Is there any solution for this umlaut issue in the near future?
The issue also comes if you send from yahoo to gmail!
There seem to be a major issue with umlauts in the Desktop client.

Just to pop this issue back up... I have the same problem here with Yahoo Zimbra Desktop: umlauts in emails sent with the Desktop are garbled.

"Danke für deine Einsätze"
should have been:
"Danke für deine Einsätze"
(spot the 2 differences)

Any news on this issue anyone?

EDIT: what does in your development process "assigned" mean? That person is already working on it so the next release will have it? It would be too cool
