Contacts are not shared between online and offline UIs?

So, I am a bit confused here...

I am running the Zimbra Desktop (very recently installed). And I am connecting to my zimbra server.

Now, I created a few contacts while using the Desktop. But They do not appear when I use the web UI (online).

What am I missing??

Also, most of the time the desktop shows a status of "offline". Does it only go "online" when it wants to sync?

Are you connecting to the Zimbra server via the ZCS Connection setup? Contacts is only supported on the ZCS setup.

I am using the Zimbra Desktop to connect to the Zimbra server (I am not using POP or IMAP)
