Thumbs up Oh, I hope zimbra will soon have this features (deepofix)

Hello all,
I love zimbra and I vote for it for the best Enterprise Project in CCA .
I've been exploring it and am really impressed by zimbra. Cool!

However,
I've been searching the forum too, and looks like there are some features that are really requested by lots of people, such as:
[x]User can send email outside of his domain
[ ] User cannot receive mail from:
[ ] User cannot recieve mail from outside his domain.
[ ] User cannot receive mail from this (mail/domain): ...........

And:
a fully featured distribution lists, such as mailman
Mail copies (always_bcc) in domain / certain user

And here's the big news:
A friend of mine told me about this: deepOfix Mail Server - Features | DeepRoot Linux
It is qmail-ldap based and it has all the features that people want in the qmail mailing lists (including the above mentioned features). The only thing that I don't favor it is that it's a "full distro", so the chance of adding/modifying it after install is very limited.

So, is there any possibilities that zimbra will have those features in the near future? I'd be in heaven if so.

Thumbs up

Just tried the demo of it.... It seems that the functionality or the mind set of the "package" is quite rich.... however, I think it could do that because it's rely on the own os platform.... which is not as flexible and independent as ZCS! For long term, I wonder it's life cycle..... not mentioned that it's in the old linux based style rather than web 2.0~

Of course, it's sure that zimbra is listening..... and they would improve the zimbra as better as they can, that's also the reason why they have such active forum, bugzilla and wiki~

I also want zimbra have the features which is the common desired one~ Just like they said, we can go to the bugzilla to express our hope~

Took a look at it. It seems that most of what they provide, we already do through our rPath Appliance.

How about some searches of bugzilla...most are probably already requests. If not open an RFE!

What about her? -jk 'their domain'
There's bugs open for similar options for distribution list addresses-hunt, I would think someone has opened a request for individual user basis.

Bug 9620 - Mail policies and access control for sending to distribution lists
Make check boxes for:
-User can send email outside of his domain
-User can recieve mail from outside his domain

-can already do in postfix: always_bcc = address@domain.com (you can also do maps with 'sender_bcc_maps' and 'recipient_bcc_maps')
-user side: Bug 15306 - User defined auto bcc
