Default Working with Zimbra Code

Hi,
I want to compile and run the zimra source code on my local machine. I am using window XP. Can somebody help me and which IDE will be best.

I like Eclipse
A lot of us use IntelliJIdea, but it's not free.

JHolder thank you for your reply. But I wanna to know more. What about Window XP as the system requirmenet is Linux and from where I start mean there are lot of project folders. I am little bit confused.
