Default FTP for Zimbra users ??

Hi !

I think about deploying Zimbra for a project.

This project needs FTP for their users.

So my question is : are the Zimbra users "real linux users account" ? I mean, if I install a FTP server, did a new user created in Zimbra will be available for FTP use ?

Or are the account differents ?

Thanks for the explaination !

Hi

Accounts are held in ldap with pretty standard schema, no reason you shouldn't hook FTP up through pam-ldap/nss-ldap.

Question user for access Zimbra LDAP

So,

I'm close to get it working... but...

Could you tell me which Zimbra user to query the LDAP and retrieve the password ?

I have an admin like admin@host1.domain.tld, to administer Zimbra, is it this one ?
If yes, should I use "admin" or the complete login ?
If not, which username should I use ?

Thanks a lot !
