How can I add appointments to the calendar?

And can I access the calendar from a portable device like a mobile phone and if so how do I do it?

You can use our SOAP interface to manually add appointments to the calendar. Also, a "tentative" appointment is created when a mailbox receives a message with a text/calendar attachment.

You can currently view your calendar from a Windows Mobile mobile phone using Zimbra Mobile. You could also probably view the "lite" HTML-only calendar using your phone's web browser.
