Hi

Only Solaris 10 here. I have an X2100 that I'd likely convert back to Solaris once this is ready.
I would venture a guess that the majority of people that would be interested in a solaris port of zimbra are running 9 or newer. I haven't run anything but 10 for at least a year now.
I just upgraded my sparc box to solaris 10 I love it! I even downloaded the x86 developer version and put it on my toshiba laptop works great. Since solaris 10 is open I figured might as well start using it instead of linux.
I vote for Solaris Sparc 10!

OK Solaris 10 it is!
can't wait! -will please a lot of Sun fans
I say develop for ten, and then later focus on v9 (or older-gasp!) if someone requests it.
UPDATE: see this thread - http://www.zimbra.com/forums/develop...st3-build.html
98% of my servers all still solaris 8!! same story with many companies I know about - few people saw the need to upgrade to solaris 9, same deal with 10 until recently. i sat in sol10 training course recently and lots of scratching heads and the invariable 'give me back my init scripts' ;)
but given the nature of zimbra and the advantages 10 will give, i agree it's a no brainer. will try to keep support for 8 and 9 if poss, currently the sparc build works fine under 8 but the changes I had planned for next build would break that entirely.
pretty please zimbra reopen the svn tree soon :)
My vote is for Solaris 10 - I would be keen to install Zimbra on it tomorrow...
Solaris 10 (SPARC) would be huge! I would love to see the performance on the Sun T2000 servers.
