Default set up an external LDAP for zimbra

I have now : zimbra and OpenLDAP installed in different machines
and i want that zimbra do authentification from the external LDAP
the probelm is that i don't know how to put informations : account , passwd .....
in the new ldap (external) ??
my goal is to have one server LDAP that stock accounts that will be used by many application :zimbra, liferay..... (for authentification)

any help ?

You have got to have a user for the open ldap machine
For example, on zimbra if you run:
zmlocalconfig -s | grep ldap

You'll see how we bind to our LDAP server. Back in the early days, the UN and PW was zimbra, but this has changed.
