Default Outlook/Evolution Clone

Are there any plans on Zimbra coming out with a program that is like evolution or outlook? (Windows, Mac, Linux)?

Are you thinking of something like the Zimbra Desktop?

No, not web based (or browser based). A standalone client like evolution or outlook.

It is a stand alone client.

You don't need a browser to use it.

When I installed it and opened it, it opened it up in Firefox. Am I missing something?

You know what?
I'm wrong. Been out of the loop for a couple of days.

Anyway- There are no plans to offer any type of outlook/evolution clone.
What would be the point? They've already got that market. We don't try to copy, we invent.

I agree with you. Why reinvent it. The reason I would say reinvent it is so that people do not have to go out and buy Office also. They can use the Zimbra Client and say Openoffice, thus saving the company thousands of dollars. Plus, you will always know if it is compatible, whereas if you update say Office, the connector could break.

Just my 2 cents.

P.S. I love the product, just making a suggestion. Keep up the great work!
