This is a more generalized question, but I am unclear on where to post this as it relates to development, so please move this post if there is a better location for it.
I am looking forward to your feedback on this.
I have worked in Zimbra for some time. The one thing I notice from version to version is the huge array of table tags that get generated for content. Tables have their place for populating data, but the containers don't all have to be a series of embedded tables, and many of those tables come without a IDs or classes to utilize in the DOM.
I understand that your system is complex and that this would be an overhaul, but personally I believe I would be one of many to embrace the loss of backwards compatibility for a cleaner system to work within, not to mention a possible reduction in load times.
So, do you Zimbra, have any intentions in upcoming versions of streamlining the front end generation of content?
Preferably a system where well named div containers replace the use of multiple unidentified tables.
