Default calendar module

Hi,
I am wondering is it possible (as in easy to do) to take only calendar portion of code and integrate the calendar to another software application?
Has anyone successfully done it before?

I have been actively looking for an AJAX calendar library api to build a calendar that will take a xml feed or database feed to display calendar events or delete them. So far, i haven't been successfully in find one. Zimbra AJAX java-based calendar is the closest one I can find. Any suggestions will be welcome.

Thanks.

Default Not trivial.

Thye problem is that the bearer for calendaring is email, so you're going to need separate email for your calendaring app. Turning off all the other Zimbra apps aside from calendar is probably doable, but you're still probably going to end up annoyed at needing foo@bar.com for email and foo@calendar.bar.com for calendar.
