Default Mail Identity Enhancements on 4.5

Hi There!
Is anybody already Implementing a way to integrate the multiple Smarthost
Feature of Postfix 2.3.x (smarthost and smtp credentials based on sender for a given mail identity) or is there any Reason that stands against this,
or a migration to Postfix 2.3 ?

we are going to postfix 2.3, yes there is even a bugzilla on this.

What is the multiple smart host feature, and how does it apply to identities? Care to explain?

Multiple Smarthosts Feature is used to have multiple relay hosts based on the mail Identities "from:" Adress (see the Postfix 2.3 release notes). The incomming Mails are transported to a relay host and the from Adress can be rewritten to a matching mail domain. So, if you have multiple Mail Identities the Mail is sent to the "right" Mail Server to transport it. This avoids Problems with Spam filters if you have a dynamic DNS Adress for your Zimbra Server.

The Items to implement would be in the Mail Identities Section.
You have to specify the Relay host, the Credentials and a if TLS/SSL Transport should be used. In Postfix this maps to two different lookup tables, witch sould be kept in ldap.

If you care for somebody Implementing this, I could do it as soon as the Sources for 4.5 are published.
