    Default Zimbra and OAuth

    Hello there,

    1. I am trying to integrate existing portal where users log in with Zimbra mailbox. Idea is to let users log on portal, and then have link to their Zimbra mailbox in portal - without having to enter username and password for Zimbra again. I was considering OAuth Zimbra extension, but I wonder if that could solve my problem, as in OAuth resource owners have to log in to server (Zimbra in this case) in authorization phase anyways.
I would be glad to avoid this step where user must enter uname/pass in Zimbra UI. Is there Zimbra soap API for authorization?

    2. If the answer is yes to my previous question, I wonder if Zimbra extension for oauth is for version 2 (OAuth2). It is not well documented.

    Thanks a lot!

    Default

You are looking for single sign-on, whereas OAuth is for user authorizing an application to access his Zimbra data.

You may want to look at Preauth - Zimbra :: Wiki or the SAML SSO extension.
