Default Connector Zimbra for Provisioning and Identity Management

Hello everybody,

I just discovered Zimbra and have to write a java connector for Provisioning and Identity Management.

From what I have found in the docs, the REST API, here:

ZCS 6.0:Zimbra REST API Reference - Zimbra :: Wiki

corresponds to the version 6 of Zimbra. Can I also use it for version 7?

Also, is it possible to use it for the different versions of Zimbra? (Desktop, Open Source, Appliance and Network Edition)

For Provisioning, I saw that there is a CLI, zmprov, that permits to perform all the commands I would need to add/modify/delete accounts and/or change user passwords.

Any advice, links, samples or suggestions on how to get started are welcome

Thanks

P.S.: Please excuse me if I make a few English mistakes, I am working on it.

Thank you for the answer Raj.

I searched everywhere but couldn't find any API for provisioning. The REST Api permits to perform all the operation other than Provisioning.

I had a look at the docs on the /opt/zimbra/docs folder. The only way to accomplish this is to build all the operations I need myself building the SOAP requests, right?

Thanks

yes if you dont want to use the ZMPROV from commandline then you need to use SOAP API
Look in /opt/zimbra/docs on your ZCS server.
you will find the basic SOAP API commands and information..you can search forums for different code examples or scripts.
i.e.: Zimbra, SOAP vb .net examples
