Read mail from cli, parse it for useful information and delete it...

Hi,

I have an account that receives autosupport mails from netapp filers. These autosupport mails contain useful information which I would like to parse (preferably in python). After the mail has been read it should be deleted. I looked through the forum and have seen some possible options (REST, zmmailbox) but would very much appreciate some feedback from the experts here.
